• Remove Stylus from Filter Shaft
• Connect IN-FLOW tubing to IN-FLOW port on Filter Shaft and OUT-FLOW tubing to OUT-FLOW port on Body
• Confirm direction of flow as indicated by arrows
• Press can be stabilized by placing it into Press Base (Part#01-05007) OR by using non-penetrating towel clamps to secure Press to a table or sterile drapes
• Filter Shaft should always be pulled completely to the top of the Body at all times during collection
• Turn flow on and begin collection
• Only collect Blood and Bone—other tissues may cause clogging
• Use alternate suction to bypass Press for solid and non-bone materials, as shown in the Operating Room Diagram on the cover
After collecting 10 CC of material (or if blood dries or coagulates) Stop Collection and proceed to Graft Preparation
• Disconnect IN-FLOW tubing from Filter Shaft
• Keep OUT-FLOW tubing and suction connected
• Insert Stylus into Filter Shaft to advance Filter
• Press graft by holding Base securely while pressing Filter Shaft and Stylus down, with OUT-FLOW pointing down
• Do not stop or disconnect OUT-FLOW tubing
• Repeat pressing motion to remove excess blood
• Disconnect OUT-FLOW tubing and turn BoneBac Press upside down
• Carefully unscrew and remove Base
• Position open end over sterile container to receive Autograft
• Advance Filter to eject graft
• Scrape remaining graft off filter screen and into container
Unclog Press:
• Insert Stylus into Filter Shaft and rotate/move Filter Shaft and Stylus up and down to loosen debris
• Remove Base from Body and use sterile tool to manually scrape debris loose
Excessive Suction:
•Stabilize Filter Shaft by applying extra set of clamps to Filter Shaft directly above Body of Press
Insufficient Suction:
• Ensure Filter Shaft is pulled completely to top of Body
• Consider adjusting vacuum settings or tube size
